Excerpts:

The nation's health experts are
unable to gauge the effect of many potentially toxic
chemicals on humans because the federal government
has failed to study such exposure and has "a long way
to go" before remedying the situation, according to a
report released Tuesday by the research arm of Congress.

The study by the General Accounting Office was
begun nearly two years ago at the request of
Democratic Reps. Henry A. Waxman and Maxine
Waters, both of Los Angeles, Nancy Pelosi of
San Francisco and other members of Congress.
Pelosi announced the findings Tuesday at a House
subcommittee hearing on children and environmental
health.

A study reviewed more than 1,400 chemicals that pose
potential threats to human health and found that only 6% are
being tracked by HHS and the EPA. And only a small percentage
of the chemicals known or thought to be carcinogenic are being
tracked by the government, the study found.

As stated, the bill includes "biomonitoring" and they are well aware of The Toxic Lotto
But I do not yet know if this will include screening for sub-clinical infectious agents that
can work synergistically with toxic chemical exposures. As I have explained at
The Toxic Lotto of which applies to numerous chronic illnesses, including mental illness.
Two peer reviewed medical journal about biomonitoring and the low dose cumulative effects
of toxic chemicals. One explains the association with various illness (D) (such as heart
attacks) and the other gives technical data (C) about the use of them. Of which could
explain variances in heart rhythm disturbances, from the use of a taser.

Edited excerpts from the above Myspace Toxic Reverend blog:

A peer reviewed medical journal has published an article indicating that
the majority of cases of "mental illness" are actually due to toxic chemical
exposures (B). But the article did not give any biomarkers for such evaluations,
with regard to "mental illness" and or "depression".

the biomarkers of interest should be the same ones that naturally control

Over the past decade, it has become clear that the brain synthesizes
steroid hormones by using some of the same steroidogenic enzymes
found in adrenals and gonads (reviewed in refs.
1 and 2). These
compounds were given the name neurosteroids (
3), and some of
their functions have been elucidated (
4).

Therefore: The cumulative effects of toxic chemical exposure from a
type of toxic chemicals known as "Endocrine Disrupters", must have
an influence on the neurosteroids (A) that SSRI medications influence.

However:

"Just as toxic chemicals can multiply in toxicity when mixed
(and impair the immune system, as can radiation exposure),
so can infectious agents multiply in their pathogenic potential,
when combined" -

Conclusion's:

The "Threshold Point" or the "Fight or Flight Response" can be
altered by diet and nutritional supplements *as well as toxic
chemical exposures.

This corresponds with "Homicide - Suicide". And if
only the behavioral conditioning responses are dealt
with (from violence in movies,
PTSD symptoms, and or
other factors) that predispose the responses, a reduction
in homicide may very well result in an increase in
suicides.

To re-state this. Reducing the violence in movies to
reduce the "predisposition to violence" may very well
result in a reduction of murder. With a corresponding
increase in suicide if the "thresh hold point" at which an
individual enters into becoming suicidal - homicidal are
not addressed and or corrected.

Additional:

It seems that I have some serious editing to do. I
have been considering the fact that John Du Pont
(now deceased) was diagnosed as "insane". He

was heir to the Du Pont chemical empire.
Since it has been shown that most mental illnesses are due
to toxic chemical exposures, could Du Pont have been
the victim of "The Toxic Lotto", himself ?

It has become very apparent to me that I owe John Alexander an apology.
He has made some very good points about "conspiracy theories". And I now
understand that there are more than a few problems with the majority of such
theories. A specific examples is Casey Johnson, the now deceased heir to
the Johnson & Johnson fortune and daughter of New York Jets owner
Robert Wood “Woody” Johnson, as being a "probable victims" of The Toxic Lotto

As well as President Reagan's Alzheimer's disease. From which my Uncle
(a retired Spook) is also now suffering from.

Dear Toxic,

Thank you for an outstanding 2009! We need your support as we head into 2010.

Thank you for your generous support of the Breast Cancer Fund. Whether you’ve contributed your time, money or voice this year, you’ve been an integral part of bringing success to the Breast Cancer Fund’s work in 2009 to eliminate the environmental causes of the disease.

With a dedicated community of supporters like you, we were able to weather the financial storm. In January, we made difficult budget cuts but stayed focused on our mission-critical work: education, advocacy and coalition-building. This dedication to doing more with less resulted in big wins for breast cancer prevention, and primed us to create significant inroads toward reducing toxic exposures, greening our chemical system and lowering breast cancer risk in 2010.

In 2009, you helped the Breast Cancer Fund to:

  • Get toxic bisphenol A (BPA) out of food and beverage containers: You supported the Breast Cancer Fund in leading national efforts to convince manufacturers to stop using BPA, educate the public about its risk, and help legislators craft strong protections for American families, including federal legislation introduced in March.
  • Protect children from toxic toys: In February, the federal ban on phthalates in toys – which you helped us pass in 2008 – went into effect, protecting children from these plastic-softening chemicals linked to breast cancer and other health concerns.
  • Set stronger federal standards for toxic chemicals: We were able to bring our prevention perspective to the coalition working to overhaul the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), and together hope to implement stronger federal standards for toxic chemicals. The Breast Cancer Fund also remains vigilant in working to give the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate products not covered by TSCA, including cosmetics.
  • Track the links between pollution and diseases: With our support, Congress introduced critical legislation to create a national program combining data from disease registries, environmental pollution reporting and biomonitoring programs, which measures the presence of chemicals in your body, to connect the dots between environmental exposures and major health concerns.
  • Publish our science work in a peer-reviewed journal: Your support also allowed us to publish the first peer-reviewed version of our landmark report, State of the Evidence: The Connection Between Breast Cancer and the Environment, in the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Health.

As we celebrate our achievements in 2009, we’re already looking to the critical work ahead in 2010, including a growing national campaign to ensure BPA is eliminated from all food and beverage containers. We need your support to make it happen, though.

Please make a tax-deductible gift to the Breast Cancer Fund before the year’s end and help us continue this critical work through 2010.

Your thoughtful gift today directly supports the Breast Cancer Fund’s advocacy and education initiatives. With your help, I know we can overcome the hurdles standing between us and a safe and healthy future.

Yours very truly,

Jeanne Rizzo, R.N.
President and CEO
Breast Cancer Fund

P.S. With your donation of $100 or more, you can give the meaningful gift of a prayer flag in honor or memory of a loved one touched by cancer. Donate today, and you’ll receive the flag in time for the holidays. A copy, with the name of your loved one, will fly on Mt. Shasta in June with Climb Against the Odds 2010!

Our Mission: In response to the public health crisis of breast cancer,
the Breast Cancer Fund identifies — and advocates for elimination of —
the environmental and other preventable causes of the disease.

Association of Mycoplasmal Infections with Malignant Progression, Relapse
and Stage in Breast Cancer Patients

Prof. Garth L. Nicolson
The Institute for Molecular Medicine,

16371 Gothard Street H, Huntington
Beach, California
Web address: www.immed.org

Intracellular bacterial infections have historically been proposed as a cause of
cancer [1,2]. Although bacterial involvement in malignant transformation and
its reversal with antibiotic treatment have been demonstrated in animal
models [3], there are few examples of direct involvement of bacteria in
clinical transformation of malignant cells [4]. It seems more likely that the
release of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) and other genotoxic molecules by
intracellular bacteria play a role in progression to malignancy rather than the
inception of cancer or transformation [5]. Reports in the literature indicate
that over one-half of ovarian cancer patients have mycoplasmal infections in
their tumors [6], and the incidence of infection in ovarian cancer was related
to stage and survival [7]. Some results have been questioned on the basis of
contamination in tissue culture [8], but most studies did not use culture
procedures. Therefore, we examined breast cancer patients to determine if
there was a relationship between systemic mycoplasmal infections and
progression of their breast cancers. Examination of breast cancer patients
showed mycoplasmal infections inside blood leukocytes (~50%+) not blood
plasma or serum. The most common species found were M. fermentans, M.
pneumoniae and M. genitalium. In contrast, in healthy adults the incidence of
these species was low [9]. We found an association between stage,
progression (measured by relapse after surgery) and presence of
mycoplasmal infection(s) (P<0.001)>
